I guess I get entirely too phased over when I read up on the news. Kind of like a doom-clock ready to laugh at who people decide to elect for their government. I sit back, watch the news roll over with the latest headlines. I read a few articles, and a little voice inside is saying 'Ooh it's so close to going BOOM! and then everyone will be screwed! AWESOME!' part of me looks at the country and this world and just doesn't care. I have no attachment other than my friends and family. It's a morose feeling I guess. But honestly, even though people say you're blessed to be in America! or some other nonsense that's been ground into their heads since they were young, I get a little feeling that makes me just want to leave. To check out what other countries are like. Travel for a while and really see it. It really makes me wonder what America has so much better than other countries.. Freedom? Well really we could be more free, people are just blind to their chains. You can't live without a drivers license or social security card. You are required to update your address. You have to be registered with the government. You have no choice in paying taxes, in fact they are TAKEN directly out of your paycheck without your choice whatsoever. None of these indicate freedoms.

What happened to just living and working a simple job, being able to provide for a family and maintain a decent standard of living? Will those days ever be back?

Like the Old West? There's not much frontier left, and disappearing like people were wont to do in those days is much harder now.
